A square bajot clad in copper-oxidised embossed metal, with a raised diamond lattice panel set into the centre of the top — thirteen worked diamonds standing proud of a finely textured ground.
An ornate scrolled border runs around the panel and continues down the sides, and the piece stands on four carved legs finished in deep red and copper. The oxidised patina darkens in the recesses and lifts on the raised work, which is what gives the surface its depth.
The warm copper tone sits particularly well alongside brass murtis and copper pooja ware, and holds its own next to a wooden mandir. At 15 inches square the top takes a mid-size idol with a thali and diya.
