Eco-Friendly Ganesh Visarjan Idol – Blue Khes & Orange Dhoti, Pink Lotus Base, ~15 inch

A cornflower blue khes falls over both shoulders above a saffron orange dhoti, and the idol is seated on a large ribbed pink lotus with a green calyx band rather than the carved plinth used elsewhere in this size.

One of nine Plain-tier idols in this year's 15 inch range, and the only one in the tier given a lotus base.

Hand-painted on eco-friendly clay, ready for a gentle biodegradable immersion.

The petals are sculpted individually and shaded from deep magenta at the base to a lighter pink at the tips, so the seat catches light differently from a flat moulded base. In Hindu iconography the lotus stands for purity rising clear of muddy water.
