The throne is sculpted entirely from clay rather than actual wood, carved and painted to mimic a wood-grain finish — a detail that takes an extra pass in the workshop but keeps the whole piece single-material and easy to immerse. In traditional iconography a throne marks Ganesh as Raja, the seated ruler invoked before any new venture begins.
