Eco-Friendly Ganesh Visarjan Idol – Marigold Dhoti & Fuchsia Fan-Pleat Khes, 6 inch

A marigold saffron dhoti with gold flourishes under a bright fuchsia rani pink khes worn over the left shoulder, its end gathered into a stiff fan-pleat with a gold squiggle at the left hip, lying against the mushak's flank.

The crested gold pagdi has a top knob and a fluted lower edge, with a black hair tuft at the temple and bare pink ears. A gold beaded haar crosses the chest and a chain runs over the trunk, with armlets, bangles and anklets, and red dots on the fingers and toes. Two arms — right raised in abhaya, left palm-up on the knee — reclining on the large coiled grey mushak with its head forward-left, on a pale lilac plinth. Two red crescents mark the belly.

The sculpted fan-pleat at the hip is the detail that separates this from the other two reclining pieces. Natural clay, painted by hand, softening and dispersing in water.
