Eco-Friendly Ganesh Visarjan Idol – Rani Pink Dhoti & Orange Khes, Riding the Mushak, 6 inch

A bright rani pink dhoti with gold-brushed pleat flicks, worn with a fluorescent orange sleeveless khes that wraps the torso and drapes down the back.

This is the two-armed baby form: the right hand raised in abhaya, the left arm extended over the raised knee. The crown is a swept-back gold pagdi with a raised pointed peak at the front and an embossed beaded band round the brow. A twisted gold rope haar with a knotted pendant sits over a beaded collar, the trunk curls left with red hatch striping down its length, and a single white tusk hangs on his right. He sits astride a solid grey mushak whose head and forepaws project forward at his right, on a pale lavender plinth with a rough hand-finished edge.

Pink and fluorescent orange is the boldest pairing in the batch and reads well from across a room even at this size. Unfired clay, hand-painted, made to disperse in water.
