A bright saffron orange dhoti with gold leaf pleat strokes, under a rani pink khes that goes over the left shoulder, crosses the back and fans out flat on the mattress to his right.

The headdress is a low, squat gold jata — a rounded swept-back bun with a small knob on top rather than a turban. A short beaded gold kanthi sits at the throat with a longer chain dropping over the trunk root, and the brow carries a red trishul with a white flower dot at the hairline, with red crescent strokes on the cheeks and belly. He sits in lalitasana on a violet indigo mattress edged with a brown wood-grain rail, a fat parrot green bolster at his left hip, and the small mushak lies flat in profile under the front lip of the mattress.

Saffron against violet is the warmest pairing in this batch. Eco clay, hand-finished, and kind to the water it returns to.
