Lord Krishna in white resin, standing in the classic tribhanga pose with the flute raised to his lips. Finished in a clean white with fine detailing to the crown, jewellery and the folds of the dhoti.
At 24cm this suits a home mandir shelf or a side table rather than a large temple — big enough to be the centre of the shrine, small enough not to crowd it. The pale finish sits well against both wooden and marble mandirs.
Significance: Krishna is the cosmic musician, known as Murlidhar and Bansiwala, and the note of his flute is understood as the call of the divine to the soul. He is the god of love in its fullest sense — playful, intimate and hard not to warm to, which is why so many households keep him at the centre of the shrine.
