Hand-rolled cotton phool vati — the round, bud-shaped wicks that sit in an oil diya. Three pack sizes.
The bud shape is not decorative: it keeps the wick sitting steady in the oil instead of rolling to the edge of the bowl, and holds the flame upright and central so it burns evenly through a long aarti. Pure cotton takes ghee cleanly and leaves little residue, so the diya wipes out easily afterwards.
Significance: The vati is the part of the lamp that actually burns, and it is the one thing in the mandir cupboard that genuinely runs out. Most households keep a bag in and top it up before each festival, since a single Diwali evening can take a hundred or more.
Choosing a size:
- Small — everyday use at the home mandir
- Medium — the festival size, for Navratri and Diwali at home
- Large — bulk, for a mandal, a katha, or a household lighting diyas right through the house
