A hand-carved Sevan wood mandir in plain, natural wood. The pale wood has a soft honey colour that gets warmer with age. It is carved by hand in India, so the leaf pattern on the top and drawer front is never quite the same twice.
The front is open, so your murtis stay in full view and daily aarti is easy. Round pillars stand on each side, and the shelf is deep enough for a full set. One drawer in the base holds agarbatti, wicks and prayer beads.
The wood is left plain. You can keep it as it is, or oil or wax it to bring out the grain.

Most of what we sell is made by hand in India: our murtis, mandirs, pooja items, sarees and clothing. Because each piece is made by hand, no two are exactly the same. The carving, painting, pattern, stitching or finish may differ a little from the photo. Wood grain and marble markings are natural and vary from piece to piece.
