Lord Murugan standing inside a carved temple arch, holding his vel (spear) upright, with his peacock at his feet. The dark wood-look arch sets off the ivory and gold of the murti beautifully. It is the largest piece in this range. This one has a red dhoti.
Lord Murugan (Kartikeya) is the son of Shiv and Parvati. He is much loved in Tamil homes and is prayed to for courage, wisdom and success. His vel (spear) was a gift from his mother Parvati.

About our handmade products
About our handmade products
Most of what we sell is made by hand in India: our murtis, mandirs, pooja items, sarees and clothing. Because each piece is made by hand, no two are exactly the same. The carving, painting, pattern, stitching or finish may differ a little from the photo. Wood grain and marble markings are natural and vary from piece to piece.
Colours can also look slightly different on each phone or laptop screen, and sizes are approximate.
If you need an exact colour, size or pattern, please message us on WhatsApp with a photo, or visit our shops on Ealing Road, Wembley, to see the item before you buy.
